Low trust changes how a country works.
When trust falls, ordinary life becomes more expensive, more defensive, and more bureaucratic.
A high-trust society can make agreements with less fear of being cheated. Businesses can spend more time producing and less time defending themselves from fraud. Communities can rely more on cooperation and less on constant supervision.
When trust collapses, more forms are required. More cameras are installed. More compliance layers appear. More interactions are treated as hostile until proven otherwise. Eventually distrust becomes self-reinforcing.

We will not pretend every political idea is equally sound. We will also reject bad ideas when they come from our own side. Credibility means applying the same standards even when the result is politically inconvenient.
